its the co visit in my parents cong this week.
i saw them early this morning just as they were getting ready to go out in field service and my mother said ''we really should have gotten a hair cut before this visit'' .
mum was dolled up to the nines to go out on service.
I've always thought it to be deceitful how everyone gets all theocraptic during the visits, like saying, "hey lets trick the guy so he doesn’t know how we really are".
Oh and don’t forget to clean your house, wash your car, beat the shight out of your kids so they’ll behave, buy a shiny new outfit, get a haircut and put on your cheesy plastic happified smiles because the CO, I mean God is watching.
i just went and filled out the form asking to be visited.
i hope they come soon so i can work my super apostate magic!
uh, if the super apostate magic doesn't work, i'll just let my huge great danes out onto the porch and freak the witnesses out followed by kicking them off my front porch... .
I am still "in", but if I were out and didn't know the local conned-green-nation I'd do it and look at it as a win win.

hello everybody, so i've been out of the wt for almost a year now.
i did go to the memorial last year, but that was pretty much the last meeting i attended.
thing is, as a born-in, i have never missed one, this will be the first.. don't get me wrong, i have absolutely no desire to go back, but after all these years there's a weird feeling about it.
Are you considering it just to make your friends happy?
If you have no desire to ever go back, then why would you go and string them on?
the first most important thing is that we have a loooooooooong weekend to chill, take in the sunshine (cos it's going to be hot in durbs).
the second most important thing is chocolate this year!
i've already had chocolat cake, chocolate covered marshmellow eggs and chocolate :) all notions of healthy eating - outta the window.. i know there is a ton of stuff on christ's death and resurrection - what i will watch are probably the doccies that go more into the facts and details of that time period - dstv (our sa cable) usually shows a number of these shows, find them very fascinating.. so to the christians that celebrate their lords death and resurrection - happy easter.

just thought about the suggested sermon for the april magazines in the km.
it suggests that jw say that they are doing a public service.. a public service, is a service that is rendered by the government.
doesn't that writing commitee know the meaning of such words.. i wonder if they are trying to mislead by using this wording, or, they just don't get it..
I would not be surprised if it is an intentional twist on words.
The appropriate wording should be we are performing a private recruiting ritual in public; it’s truthful and yet retains wash-towel’s ambiguity.
